Named one of Georgia’s Super Lawyer 2006, James (Jay) Sadd practices in every court in Georgia; including the Georgia Supreme Court, Court of Appeals and all Georgia Superior and State Courts. He is part of the Federal Bar and has also lead counsel for 37 injured victims of the 1996 Centennial Olympic Park bombing. He has appeared as a guest on several national media sources- NBC’s Today Show, CNN World News, CBS television, ABC television, The New York Times, USA Today, The Atlantic Journal and Constitution, and the National Law Journal. Amongst all this- Jay is an active member in his community, a board member to numerous organizations and has achieved the ability to be part of the Million Dollar Advocates Forum- where lawyers are limited to awards or settlements of a million dollars or more.
Holding a B.S. from Georgia Southwestern College, 1983, and a law degree from Walter F. George School of Law, Mercer University, 1986- Scott Slappey is the other half to Slappey & Sadd, LLC. Scott’s main area of practice is representing injured workers in worker’s compensation, but since 1990 has almost exclusively been dedicated to injured workers against their employers and insurance carriers. He is a member of the Rules of Committee Chairman Advisory Council of the State Board of Worker’s Compensation and is on the Executive Committee for the Worker’s Compensation Claimants Lawyers Association since 1991.
