A lawsuit was recently filed against a man living in Indiana regarding a fatal car accident that occurred in January.
The family of the man who was killed filed the suit and claim that their loved one was wrongfully killed and the accident was preventable.
Car Accident Proves Deadly
Timothy J. Resler, 37, was riding as a passenger in a car driven by Frank Aaron Stover, 34.
According to reports, the car turned off Delaware County Road and rolled over several times before stopping.
Resler was found critically injured by authorities at the scene of the crash and was immediately taken to Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis.
The man died a day later due to severe head injuries.
Driver Accused of Fleeing Accident
Authorities who investigated the crash say that Stover was not found at the scene and reportedly fled the accident.
Since this was revealed, Stover was charged with reckless driving while drunk and reckless homicide.
Family Takes Legal Action
Resler’s family filed the wrongful death lawsuit against Stover claiming he was negligent and as a result of his reckless behavior the car was rolled.
The suit seeks unspecified damages for the loss of their loved one.
