Lawsuit Filed After Rafting Accident

A lawsuit has been filed in the aftermath of an accident that killed a couple in Jacksonhole, Wyoming.

The suit claims that the accident, which occurred in 2006, was the cause of negligence and holds the companies who ran the tour responsible for the deaths of the victims.

Raft Capsizes and Takes Lives

John and Elizabeth Rizas, who were from New Jersey, were two of three people who were killed when a raft capsized in the Snake River.

John’s brother, Robert, and his wife, Patricia, have now filed a suit against the touring companies for the death of their loved ones.

Family Files Suit

The wrongful death suit has been filed against the East Coast tour company, Tauck, and Vail and the Grand Teton Lodge Company.

The suit claims that the companies were negligent and are to blame for the sudden and wrongful deaths of the couple.

The suit is seeking damages for loss of income, earnings, medical expenses and loss of enjoyment of life.
